Exercise 2.3: Short focal length-close viewpoint

Choose a subject with a background of depth. With a short focal length (28mm) in my case, take the shot from a  low perspective.

With this type of image one does notice how it gives a different view of the person as being exaggerated and slightly intimidating. Towering over the camera it appears as if the person has more status and gravitas.

Because of the angle of view i.e. from below looking above, it also seems as if the lower part of the person’s body is broader than the upper, which is further away from the lens. So its seems as if the distortion potential with a wide-angle lens (more at increasingly wider angles) are multiple.
